Ingredients

one soft dinner roll or two white-bread slices
1/4 cup warm water.
One small red onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground allspice
one egg yolk.
1 pound lean ground beef
1/4 cup butter

How to Make.

In a small bowl, softened bread and water. Drain water from bread; squeeze to remove as much water as possible. In a large bowl, combine moisten bread, onion, salt, allspice and egg yolk. Add beef; blend thoroughly, beating with an electric beater or by hand until smooth. Dave in your hands with water. Use your hands to shake beef mixture into 1 inch balls. Melt butter in a large skillet. Over medium heat, Brown meatballs, a few at a time, on all sides. Serve immediately with mashed potatoes and cloudberry borehole-cranberry sauce. Makes four servings.

Cooks Tips: for a tasty meatball dip, beat together 1 cup dairy sour cream, 2 teaspoons Dijon style mustard, 1 teaspoon onion salt, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon white pepper.
